Day 1
Welcome to Alexandroupolis the capital of Evros! Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport and you will be picked by a minivan heading to your accommodation at the city’s heart. After a short break for a snack, you will begin your sightseeing tour. The first stop will be at the lighthouse of Alexandroupolis, marked as the city’s emblem and located near its coast. Your walk continues to the Folklore Museum of Cappadocians where you will discover the traditions of Cappadocian people. Next stop will be the Armenian Church and finally the Ethnological Museum of Thrace in which you will discover the history of Thrace through objects used in previous centuries. After the city’s tour, you will be having a great meal while admiring the city’s port view, at a restaurant located along the city’s coastline. Overnight at Alexandroupoli.

Day 2
After having, a lavish breakfast you will be visiting the Ecological Park of the Delta of the River Evros, one of the most important protected areas of Greece, with huge value for many species of our natural environment. You will have the chance to admire the unparalleled beauty of the flora and fauna that unfolds in front of you. You will come closer to nature by boating on the river, birdwatching and sightseeing around the area along with expertise from the national park. Moreover, you will be provided with the right observation equipment such as telescopes and binoculars for a unique experience. The next visit will be at a small nearby traditional village, called ‘Doriskos’ where you can cherish the wetland’s breathtaking view. Continuing your excursion, there are plenty of small taverns where you can enjoy an exquisite meal. Later on, you will be finding yourselves back at your retreat, free to go on a night walk at the city of Alexandroupoli.

Day 3
Today is the day for relaxation. After taking your breakfast, you will be heading at the famous Agia Paraskevi beach located west of the capital city. With its thick blond sand and its crystal-clear waters, this place is a real treasure! You will have the chance to dive into the infinite blue and play at the beach. The beach fully equipped with sunbeds as well as many cafes offering coffee, refreshing drinks and light food. Furthermore, this place is appropriate for watersports providing experts and equipment. You can choose between water ski, windsurfing and many games with inflatables on the water. Late in the afternoon, you will be returning to your accommodation. You will be dining at a taverna, tasting excellent fish and seafood.

Day 4
Good morning! Today get ready for an unusual and unforgettable experience. After your breakfast, you will be taking off with your guide to ‘Soufli’ village or the ‘Town of Silk’ as it is said. Located nearby the Evros River. This place has been the home of silkworms breading their cocoons by which the original silk was made. You will visit the old silk factory of Tzivre that now works as a museum, where you will discover the history of the old city of Soufli and its silk. There will be plenty of time, to stroll around the village’s square, with traditional silk stores. There is also a market and several taverns, where you can taste local delicacies and treats such as the famous ‘kavourmas’, the strong spirit ‘tsipouro’ and wine. 

Day 5
After having a good breakfast our guide will escort you until your arrival at the airport to catch the flight for your way back home.
